HAIL DAMAGE / SUNSHINE COAST

Hail damage
repair.

Hail can leave dents across the roof, bonnet and side panels. We assess the whole vehicle, explain which panels suit PDR and help you understand the next steps for a repair or insurance claim.

THE REPAIR APPROACH

Hail repair with a full vehicle assessment

Hail damage is rarely one dent. A proper assessment checks the affected panels, paint condition and repair access before a plan is made. Paintless Dent Repair can retain the original finish where suitable; damage with broken paint may need another repair approach.

  • Bonnet, roof and panel hail dent assessments
  • Paintless Dent Repair where suitable
  • Insurance repair guidance and documentation
  • Private repair enquiries welcome

Preparing for a hail assessment

Photograph the vehicle in even light and note which panels appear affected. Reflections can hide small dents, so an inspection under repair lighting may reveal more than a phone photo. Tell us about any broken glass, water entry or damage that affects safe use of the vehicle.

Can hail dents be repaired without repainting?

Many hail dents may suit paintless dent repair if the paint is intact and the metal can be worked safely. Hail can affect several panels, and small dents may only appear under inspection lighting. Broken paint, glass damage or other damage may need a different repair route. We assess the whole vehicle before advising.

Hail assessment and insurance: what happens next?

Start with photos or contact us to arrange an assessment. We inspect the affected panels, paint condition and repair access, then discuss the proposed repair scope. If you are claiming, check your excess, cover and repairer options with your insurer and bring any claim details to the assessment. We can work with your insurer as required, but your insurer decides coverage and repair authorisation; our assessment does not itself approve a claim. Repair timing depends on the damage, parts and claim approval. Private repair enquiries are also welcome.

REAL HAIL REPAIR / FROM OUR WORKSHOP

Subaru bonnet.
Before and after.

The first photo shows hail dents across this Subaru bonnet. The second shows the same bonnet after repair. The light and camera angle differ between the photos, so compare the overall panel surface rather than individual reflections.

Hail can affect several panels, so we inspect the whole vehicle before confirming a repair plan. Send us photos for an assessment.

Three views show the hail damage and the finished bonnet. Reflections of the workshop roof help show the panel surface. Each pair shows the same area before and after repair; camera angles and lighting vary slightly.
