PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR / MARCOOLA
Paintless Dent
Repair.
Door dings, shopping trolley marks and parking dents deserve a careful look. When the paint is intact and we can access the panel, paintless dent repair can restore its shape without a respray.
THE REPAIR APPROACH
A precise repair for suitable dents
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) works the metal back into shape using specialist tools and reflected light. It can be a good fit for door dings, shallow panel dents and some larger dents when the paint has not cracked.
Every panel is different. We inspect the location, depth, access and previous repairs before recommending PDR. If paint or bumper repair is the better route, we will explain that instead.
- Door dings and car park dents
- Shopping trolley and minor panel dents
- Suitable larger dents with intact paint
- Workshop assessment under PDR lighting
When is PDR worth considering?
Intact paint is a useful starting point, but it is not the only consideration. The sharpness of a crease, position near an edge, stretched metal and access behind the panel can all affect the repair. A photo assessment is a starting point, not a guarantee that every dent can be removed without paint.
What affects the assessment?
Show the whole panel as well as the dent. Tell us about any previous paint or panel repairs, and whether the damage crosses a body line. We assess these details before recommending a repair and confirming a price.
Can this dent be repaired without repainting?
Possibly. Paintless Dent Repair reshapes suitable metal panels while keeping the existing finish. Intact paint helps, but the depth and shape of the dent, panel edge, body line, access behind the panel and any previous repair also matter. We inspect the vehicle before confirming whether PDR is suitable.

USEFUL ANSWERS
Good questions.
Clear answers.
Will PDR damage the original paint?
PDR is intended to preserve the existing finish. We check for cracked paint or previous resprays first, as those can change what is suitable.
Can you quote from photos?
Photos help us give initial guidance. Some dents need an in-person inspection to confirm access and repair method.
Can PDR repair a larger dent?
Some larger dents with intact paint may be suitable. Size is not the only factor: we assess the dent’s depth, shape, position and access behind the panel, along with any previous repairs, before recommending PDR.
What should I send with my assessment request?
Include your vehicle’s make, model and year, the affected panel and any known previous repairs. Send a wider view, a clear close-up and another angle. Use even daylight where possible, avoiding filters and strong glare.
What happens if PDR isn’t suitable?
We inspect the panel before recommending a repair. If paint or bumper repair is the better option, we will explain that instead.
Does an assessment enquiry commit me to a repair?
No. We review the damage and contact you to discuss the next step. An in-person inspection may be needed before we confirm the repair method, quote or booking.
